Uninstall Windows Defender
Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove ProgramsWait for the list on the right to load.
Scroll down until you find "Windows Defender", Single LEFT click to highlight it.
LEFT Click the "Remove" button to the right of where you see "Windows Defender".
After you have removed "Windows Defender", restart your computer. (Start > Shutdown > Restart)
Reinstall Windows Defender
Click HERE to go to the Windows Defender website.Download the latest version and install it. During the setup you will be asked which settings you would like to use. Choose "Recommended".
After Windows Defender has completed installing it will need to download the latest updates and run a quick scan. It is safe to work around this until its done.
